The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was called
to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Doug
' Hanna, Cliff Tvedten, Ed Rich; Cliff Hahn, Attorney John Carlson
and Clerk Jorotha T•;cGee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.
The bills were presented to the Council as follows:

be paid; seconded by Doug Hanna and
Mayor Lannoye instructed the clerk to forward a letter to the
Telephone Co. stating the repiar work on 9th street was not
satisfactory and requesting the rocks and debris left should be
hauled away immediatelyg to enable the City to stripe the street.
Mayor Lannoye reported on the material and size needed to finish
and insulate the shop building. The Council will look into this
matter.
Mayor Lannoye read a letter from the Douglas Co. Commissioners
regarding the alcohol treatment program required under Senate
Bill no. 298. Cliff Tvedten moved to recognize the Chelan -Douglas
Health and Mental Retardation Board as the Agency for East Wenatchee
and to contribute the required 2% of the liquor tax; seconded by
Ed Rich and passed by a unanimous vote.
Mayor Lannoye presented prices from tail Roofing co. for seal
coating Main and Baker streets. Ed Rich was requested to Contact
Bill Deweert regarding use of Arterial funds for seal coating of
Main street. He was also requested to look into the repairs and
widening of Rock Island Road.
The Mayor and Council discussed the color of traffic lines to be
painted on the streets. Mayor Lannoye instructed Mott Liek to
paint double white lines on Grant Road. All other streets to be
stripped as before.
