HomeMy WebLinkAbout8/21/1972 - City Council - City Council Meeting MinutesAugust 21, 1972 The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was called to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Ed Rich Doug Hanna, Cliff Tvedten, Art O'Neal; Attorney John Carlson and ' Clerk Dorotha McGee. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. The bills were presented tothe Council as follows: Current expense warrants nos. 4513 - 4525 Clifford E. Hahn $572.53 Charles Kay Walker 558.88 Charles Kay Walker 227.20 Joe H. Carl 541.12 Dennis A. Mengelos 452.80 Dorotha McGee 214.02 Errol P. Downs 461.21 Herbert J. Olive 40.00 John C. Carlson 204.85 Pedco Credit Union 25.00 Wm. M. Hamilton 159.15 Dorotha McGee 352.10 Mott W. Liek 72.75 Street warrant no. 1267 Mott W. Liek 484.17 Art O'Neal moved that the bills be paid; seconded by Cliff Tvedten and passed unanimously. ' John Carlson explained a proposal from Douglas County Commissioners for the City to contribute to the swimming pool funding. After a discussion, the Council agreed unanimously to wait for a firm figure for the charges and for a future election by city residents. Mayor Lannoye and the Council members agreed that the 1st September meeting will be held 4)/6/72. Mayor Lannoye opened a proposal from Battermann Engineering for lowering the sidewalk across Ramaker Way to allow proper water drainage. Proposal was for $390.00 + Wash. sales tax. The Council was in favor of this project if funds are available or if same can be funded from Arterial funds. Mayor Lannoye will contact Mr. Bill DeWeert regarding this matter.
