The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was called
'to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Ed Rich, Art O'Neal, Cliff Tvedten; Attorney John Carlson, ''hief Cliff
Hahn and Clerk Lorotha McGee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.

' Mayor Lannoye reported that the Contractor intends to close Baker
Street Wednesday or Thursday of this week for final paving.
Art O'Neal stated that the park Dept. needs a new lawn mower.
Mayer Lannoye requested that Mr. O'Neal check mowers and report at
the next meeting.
Mayor Lannoye presented the minutes from the Planning Commission
Public Hearing regarding a change in zoning for the P.R. Murphy
property corner of S.E. lst and Rock Island Rd., from Residential
R-1 to General Commercial. Mr. Murphy appeared at the meeting. to
answer any questions. The City Attorney was instructed to prepare
the necessary ordinance to be approved by the City Council if the
property owner will deed the City 20 ft. of right-of-way on Rock
Island Ed. to be used for widening said road.
Mayor Lannoye Presented a complaint from the Police Dept. regarding
junk cars at 145 No. Main St. The City Attorney will send a letter
to the property owner regarding this matter.
Marie Walker requested a letter of intent to commence annexation in
the 15th street area. A discussion was held as to the actual area
involved, and the proceedures for annexation.
' After a discussion regarding complaints by local merchants for acct.
closed checks and insuffecient funds checks, the Council requested
