The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was called
to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present
were Councilmen Ed Rich,
Cliff Tvedten, Arnold Stevens; Attorney

John Carlson and Clerk
Dorotha McGee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were
approved as read.
The bills were presented to the Council

Arnold Stevens moved that the bills be paid; seconded by Ed Rich
and passed unanimously.
Ed Rich reported he had attended a Street Seminar at Ellensberg.
Mayor Lannoye requested that Ed Rich submit a bequest to use Arterial
Funds for for blacktoping 4th and Baker streets.
Mayor Lannoye presented the resignation of Patrolman Errol Downs,
effective December 31, 1972. Robert Kinkade has been appointed to
' replace Patrolman Downs,
The Mayor reported that the rental shop building has been sold to
Davenport Realtors and the rent will be increased to $50.00 per month.
After a discussion, the Council agreed to purchase a blue light for
the Police car.
Mayor Lannoye stated that the State Highway Dept. has filed condemnation
preceedings for a portion of street right-of-way on Adams street. The
City will take no action.
The Mayor & Council members requested that letters be sent to the
Legislators objecting to Initative no. 276 as it related to City
Officials.
Mayor Lannoye stated that he has a request for himself and two Council
members to appear on the McClintock radio program. After a discussion
It was decided that Mayor Lannoye, Coundilman Arnold Stevens and City
Attorney John Carlson will appear.
Pearl Murphy appeared before the Council regarding his original request
for a change in zoning for his property. After a discussion, John
Carlson stated that Mr. Murphy could leave in his possession, a deed
to the 20+ of street right-of-way requested by the City; said deed to
' be conveyed to the City only if the property is sold for commercial
use. Mr. Murphy also inquired about a change in set back.
