Present were Councilmen Darrell McNeill, Doug Hanna, td Rich; Attorney John Carlson and Clerk Dorotha McGee. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. The bills were presented to Current expense warrants Charles Kay Walker Dennis Alan Mengelos Dorotha McGee Charles S. Syring Robert Alvin Kinkade Herbert J. Olive John C. Carlson (for Pedco Credit Union 'Wm, M. Hamilton Dorotha McGee Mott W. Liek Street warrant no. 1418 the Council as follows; nos. 5075 - 5084 posting only) $598.16 514.85 254.25 442.27 432.27 40.00 350.00 50.00 213.31 342.94 192.09 Mott W. Liek 394.17 Doug Hanna moved that the bills be paid; seconded by Darrell McNeill and passed unanimously. ' Doug Hanna reported that Valley Electric should have replaced the bulb in the street light on Baker Street 6n Thursday August 16, 1973. Stearns Eason verified that said replacement was in the contract. Mayor Lannoye reported that Valley Auto has repaired the front end of the Dodge Coronet, with the Company to pay 80% of the Cost. Costs to the City is approximately 440.P0. Mayor and Councilmen discussed the need for a floor in the shop building. Ed Rich moved that the City call for bids for the floor; bids to be opened September 17, 1973; motion seconded by Doug Hanna and passed unanimously. Ed Rich will prepare the specifications fox' advertising bids. Sealed bids for the sale of the Chevrolet police car were opened; bids as follows: Virgil Todd, $381.00. Ace Euto Parts, $708.00. Ed Rich moved that the City accept the bid of Ace Auto Parts in the amount of 708.00; motion seconded by Darrell McNeill and passed by a unanimous vote. Funds received for the car are to be placed in a reserve fund for future purchase of another car. It had been previously determined that the city would derive better benefits to sell the car than to have it repaired. Bids to repair were as follows - Wenatchee Body and Fender, 1058.00. Eastmont Body & Towing, y34.50; Jim+s Repair - totaled; H.& H. B6dy Shop 781.58. Under the City insurance policy the City is to pay the 100.00 deductible. In ' settlement, the city should derive approximately 1389.00 for the car.
