HomeMy WebLinkAbout4/16/1973 - City Council - City Council Meeting MinutesApril 16, 1973 The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was called to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Doug ' Hanna, Cliff Tvedten, Ed Rich, Darrell McNeill; Attorney John Carlson and Clerk Dorotha McGee. The minutes of the April 2nd and April 4th 1973 meetings were approved as read. The bills were presented to Current expense warrants Charles Kay Walker Dennis Alan Mengelos Dennis Alan Mengelos Clifford Eugene Hahn Robert Alvin Kinkade Dorotha McGee Charles S. Liek 394.17 Ed Rich moved that the bills be paid; seconded by Cliff Tvedten and passed unanimously. Darrell McNeill reported on the work he has been doing regarding a fire alarm system. Doug Hanna reported that the street light on Baker Street has been repaired. Mayor Lannoye stated that he feels the Council should meet with the P.U.D. 6ommissioners to discuss the costs of the lights and repair of same on Baker Street, John Carlson suggested that the City Insurance may pay for the vandalism to the street light. Mayor Lannoye reported that a screen for the police car now costs $140.00 instead of the $125.00 previously reported. He authorized the purchase of the screen at the increased price. Rogers Equippment presented the only bid for a street flusher. Price quoted is $6,5C0.00 plus tax, FOB East Wenatchee. Ed Rich moved to accept the Bid as presented if the flusher is in satisfactory condition; motion seconded by Doug Hanna and passed unanimously.
