HomeMy WebLinkAbout3/4/1974 - City Council - City Council Meeting MinutesMarch 4, 1974 The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was Balled to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Ray I Duncan, Cliff Tvedten, Doug Hanna, Darrell McNeill, Ed Rich; Attorney John Carlson and Clerk Dorotha McGee. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. Road Dept. 40.14 Webb Tractor & Equip. Co. 115.50 Ray Duncan moved to pay the bills with the exception of those for the Wenatchee Valley Humane Society and Robert A. Kiesz; motion seconded by Cliff Tvedten and passed unanimously. Darrell McNeill stated that the City Clerk will take reservations for use of the City park. Mayor Lannoye presented the Claim of Ray C. Loewen for damages against the city in the amount of 10,500.00. John Carlson stated that the claim should be held in abeyance pending receipt of a withdrawal of said claim. A discussion was held regarding the proposed contract with the Wena- tchee Valley Humane Society for the impounding of dogs for the City. John Carlson will prepare a contract on this matter. Police officers are to check with local citizens regarding licensing of their dogs and penalties that could be incurred under the provisions of City Ordinance no. 133. A second letter has been received by the city from the State Auditor regarding proceedures for payment in the matter of bills presented to the city by Clifford Hahn, and reversing his earlier decision that each statement must be approved by the Douglas Co: Disability board, stating however, that each bill must be properly certified, by Hahn. Herb Olive presented a copy of the Shoreline Master program as prepared by the Douglas County Planning Commission. After a discussion Ed Rich made a motion that the city approve and use the master plan as presented; seconded oy Doug Hanna and passed unanimously. Mayor Lannoye reported that Charles Syring has completed Law Enforce- ment school but is unable to return to duty because of a broken ankle. Doug Hanna moved that the meeting be adjourned; seconded by Clifi Tvedten and passed unanimously. I'fuayor Ail ' Clerk
