HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/2/1974 - City Council - City Council Meeting MinutesDecember 2, 1974 The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was called to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Ed ' Rich, Darrell McNeill, Doug Hanna, Ray Duncan, Cliff Tvedten; Attorney John Carlson and Clerk Dorotha McGee. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. Warren 100.00 Street warrants nos. 1639 - 1644 Security Bank of Washington 111,95 Washington Physicians Service 45.02 Sears Roebuck & Co. 15.39 Standard Oil Co. 3.31 Wenatchee Paint & Glass 15.03 Texaco, Inc. 58.00 Darrell McNeill moved that the bills be paid with the exception of the bill for Clifford Hahn; seconded by Cliff Tvedten and passed unanimously. A discussion was held regarding the bill presented for Clifford Hahn. The Mayor reported that the Disability Hoard -had'agreed-to pay%far the lsttrip to leattleand the bill as presented included two trips. John Carlson was requested to contact Attorney Gordon Kelley on this matter. The Disability Board had reached a decision to allow 10 cents per mile for travel expense and transportation to be made by bus if feaslble. The Mayor also stated that he had been refused copies of the psychiatric reports. John Carlson stated that the reports were public record and that the city should be entitled to copies. ' Mayor Lannoye reported that he had authorized removal of a street light at 9th and Main. Council members approved . Mayor Lannoye presented the Preliminary budget for 1975 and Ordinance No. 202 to the Council for a public hearing. He informed the Council of the necessity of increasing the budget in the amount of $2,400 for the purpose of payment for radio and teletype service ' to the Wenatchee Police Dept, at the rate of $200.00 per month. Ed Rich moved to approve and adopt the budget as increased and Ordinance no. 202; motion seconded by Doug Hanna and passed by a unanimous vote. A discussion was held on the proposed appointment of Officer Kinkade to the position of Patrolman. A notice of completion of probationary period has been received, from the Civil Service Commission. This matter was taken under advisement. The Mayor and Council discussed the salary scale for City Employees for 1975. This matter will be considered at the next meeting.
