Present were Councilmen Ray Duncan, Doug Hanna, Darrell McNeill, Ed Rich; Attorney John Carlson , and Clerk Dorotha McGee. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. ' John Carlson was requested to contact Mr. Rovang regarding his failure to comply to the city+s request that he apply an additional weed control spray if necessary as he had promised in his agreement 'with the city. Mike Sommerville, Bob Peterson and John Pettibone, representing the Soil Conservation Service were in attendance at this meeting. Mike Sommerville spoke to the Council regarding the proposed Kentucky Street watershed project. After a diecussio{, Doug Hanna moved that the City give approval, as co-sponser, for an application for Planning Assistance by the Soil Conservation Service through Public Law 566 Watershed Protection Act;. motion seconded by Ray Duncan and passed by a unanimous vote. Mayor Lannoye presented the preliminary budget tb the Council. Ray Duncan made a motion to accept the preliminary budget as presented; seconded by Ed Rich and passed unanimously. A public hearing on the Final budget will be held on Decenber 2, 1974. Mayor Lannoye proclaimed the period from Thanksgiving through Christmas as Home and Family month. Mayor Lannoye reported that the Gas Co. has failed to make street repairs in some areas on Main St. Ray Duncan will confer with Gas Co. personnel regarding this matter. The application by the East i:enatchee dater District to establish the Rock Island Transmission 1'ne was discussed. Mayor Lannoye and City Council members stated their opposition to this application. Doug Hanna moved that the meeting be adjourned; seconded by Ed Rich and passed by a unanimous vote. Mayor C er 1
