The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was called
to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Ray '
Duncan, Doug Hanna, Cliff Tvedten, Darrell McNeill, Ed Rich;
Attnrney John Carlson and Clerk Dorotha McGee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.
The bills were presented to the Council as follows:

Ray Duncan moved that the bills be
and passed unanimously.

Mr. & Mrs. Jordan and Mrs. Mae Hueber presented a flag to the City
Receiving the flag was James and David Roberts representing the Cub
Scouts. David Roberts requested custmdy of the old flag in order
that the scouts could dispose of it in the proper manner. This
request was granted. Mayor Lannoye expressed appreciation to Mr. &
Firs. Jordan and Mrs. Hueber.
Mr. Patrick explained to the City Council,
the parking problem on
Main Street in the area of his barber
shop,
and requested that the
city consider limiting the time to one
hour
parking. He also stated
that at times, one car will be parked
in a
manner using two spaces.

The Mayor instructed the Police Dept.
to check
this situation and
stated that the next time the street
lines
are painted, parking
stalls will be painted also.
Mayor Lannoye reported that the water retainer wall has been completed
on 4th Street and the curb side painted yellow.
The Mayor presented a letter from the U.A.E. stating that Baker St.
project is completed and the audit for same has been approved by the
U.A.B.
An offer of $700.00 has been received for the surplus police car.
Ray Duncan moved that the car be sold for $700.00; motion seconded by
Ed Rich and passed unanimously. Said automobile had been declared
surplus at the June 3, 1974 meeting.
John Carlson presented Ordinance No. 201 to the Mayor and Council.
Said ordinance relates to setting the tax lwvy for the year 1975;
Darrell McNeill moved to approve and adopt ordinance no. 201; motion
seconded by Ed Rich amd passed by a unanimous vote.
The Mayor reported mn the meeting with the Commissioners of Fire
District no. 2, regarding the present city contract.
' A discussion was held regarding snow tires for the police ears. It
was decided to purchase 4 radial tires.
