HomeMy WebLinkAbout3/18/1974 - City Council - City Council Meeting MinutesMarch 18, 1974 The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was called to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Ed Rich, Darrell McNeill, Ray Duncan, Cliff Tvedten, Doug Hanna; Attorney John Carlson and Clerk Dorotha McGee. ' The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. The bills were presented to the Council as foliows: Current expense warrants nos. 5388 - 5398 Robert A. Kiesz $ 87.50 Charles S. Syring 522.25 Dennis A, Mengelos 574.78 Charles K. Walker 613.80 Dorotha McGee 313.36 Robert A. Kinkade 457.09 Herb Olive (for posting only) 50.00) Pedco Credit Union 26.92 John C. Carlson(For posting only 400.00) Dorotha McGee 338.40 Wm. M. Hamilton 242.47 Pedco Credit Union 50.00 Mott W. Liek 187,30 Street warrants nos. 1514 - 1515 John E. Liek 11.77 Mott W. Liek 388.96 Cliff Tvedten moved that the bills be paid; motion seconded by Doug Hanna and passed unanimously. ' Darrell McNeill reported that fertilizer has been purchased for the City park. Ray Duncan reported that a culvert on 13th street is plugged and should be opened for drainage. Doug Hanna reported a street light out near the Seary parking lot. He will contact the P.U.D. After a discussion, Ed Rich moved that the Baker street project be declared completed since all vouchers presented to the City have been paid; motion seconded by Cliff Tvedten and passed by a unanimous vote. The Clerk was instructed to notify the U.A.B. and express appreciation from city officials for Urban Arterial funds used in the project. Darrell McNeill inquired about the sale of fireworks in the city. He stated that the Kiwanas club was interested in this project. Mayor Lannoye stated that the Jaycee's have also requested permission, for one or two stands. The Mayor and Council members discussed the proposed ungrading of Rock Island Road. Darrell McNeill will contact Dr. Congdon regarding I right-of-way. Doug Hanna moved to adjourn; seconded by Cliff Tvedten and passed unanimously. �Q eritMayor
