The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was called
to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye. Present were Councilmen Ray
Duncan, Ed Rich, Cliff Tvedten, Darrell McNeill; Attorney John '
Carlson and Clerk Dorotha McGee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.
The bills were presented to the Council

Ed Rich moved that the bills be paid; seconded by Cliff Yvedten
and passed unanimously.
Mayor Lannoye presented a petition for annexation to the Council.
' The total assessed valuation of the area requesting annexation is
197,520. The petition contained the signatures of owners of
property assessed at 165,460 or approximately $4%. Ray Duncan
moved that the city accept the petition and schedule a public
hearing at the next regular meeting on February 13, 1975 at the
hour of 8:30 p;m.; motion seconded by Ed Rich and passed by a
unanimous vote.
Dennis Mengelos told the Council that a new radar unit f6r the
Police Dept. will cost $2,385.00 with a 2 year guatantee, Trade-in
on the old unit will be 350,00. He also discussed a possible
grant for new radiols. Charles Syring requested that new hats be
purchased for the officers and reserve officers at an approximate
cost of $52.00 each. Charles Walker requested permission to have
Dennis Mengelos attend Advanced Law Enforcement School. He
estimates the cost will be $35.00. The Council members gave their
approval.
Ed Rich moved that the meeting be adjourned; seconded by Ray
Duncan and passed unanimously.
