The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee City Council was called to
order by Mayor Arthur Johnson. Present were Councilmen Darrell
McNeill, Ed Rich, Ray Duncan, Hartley Beeler, John Willeford;
Attorney Neil Fuller and Clerk Dorotha McGee.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.
The bills were presented to the Council

John Willeford moved that the bills be Paid; seconded by Ray Duncan
and passed unanimously.
John Willeford reported that the street
opening at the Security Bank
had not been repaired. The Clerk stated
that the required bond had
not been posted.
Ray Duncan reported that the Hahn matter
will be heard before the
Disability board next week on his application for a six months ex-
tension of disability.
Mayor Johnson informed the Council that
Jim Smith had resigned from
the street department, and that the City
is now accepting applications

for an experienced street maintenance man.
A notice has been received from the Civil Service Commission stating
that William Be Brooks has passed the Examination and is eligible
for a probationary appointment as patrolman.
Ed Rich moved that William Brooks be appointed Patrolman for a
six months probationary period beginning July 15, 1976; motion
seconded by Darrell McNeill and passed by a uhanimous vote.
A discussion was held on the costs presented by Charles Walker
for repair on the police cars and the prices for 2 newer vehicles.
Council members and the City Attorney discussed the traffic problem
on Hamilton street and what possible action could be taken. The
Police Department was requested to investigate this matter and
present a report at the next meeting.
The City Attorney reported that there is no rule against allowing
the request of Mr. Calarosi to use the park water line to transport
his irrigation water to his lot on Baker St. He advised use of the
agreement form. Ha also stated that he has been unable to locate
a copy of the easement for this property. After a discussion, the
City Council requested that the Attorney prepare a 99 year easement.
Ray Duncan moved that the meeting be adjourned; motion seconded by
Ed Rich and passed unanimously.
