Present were Councilmei Ed Rich, Darrell McNeill, Ray Duncan, Hartley Beeler and City Cl-rk Dorotha McGee. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read. The bills were presented to the Council as follows; Current expense warrants nos. 7164 - 7190 Clifford E. Hahn Eastmont Body Shop Harold G. Kirby Dennis A. Mengelos Dorotha McGee William B. Ed Rich reported that the Engineer has not contacted him locally on the matter of specifications for signal lights. Ray Duncan has made inquiries regarding the signal lights that may be for sale by the City of Wenatchee. Councilman Duncan will make farther inquiries on this matter and report to the Council. 1 1 1 The Mayor stated that if the City intends to purchase a police car under the state bid price, the order will need to be submitted soon. After a'discussion, Ed Rich moved that the City purchase the car, with the stipulation that one of the matadors be sold; motion seconded by Ray Duncan and passed by a unanimous vote. ' Mayor Johnson has received a request that Simon Street be completed. Ed Rich will check on this matter. Darrell McNeill made a motion that the City extend the park water line along the highway in the median strip, to enable the City Crew to keep the grass in better condition; motion seconded by Ed Rich and passed by a unanimous vote. The Mayor reported that the City employees have requested that a phone be installed in t he,City shop. The matter was discussed but no action was taken. Ed Rich reported that the Douglas County Commissioners will hold a meeting regarding a storm drain system. He believes that someone from the City should attend. Darrell Plc Neill was appointed to contact Commissioner John Tontz on this matter. The street department has requested permission to purchase some lights, barricades and a 20 M.P.H. sign. Ed Rich moved to grant said permission and to include purchase of a stop ahead sign for 13th street; motion seconded by Ray Duncan and passed unanimously. Mr. Callarosi has requested an easement at 909 Baker on property that now belongs to the City. Attorney Kirk Bromily will discuss this matter with Neil Fuller.
