HomeMy WebLinkAbout7/5/1978 - City Council - City Council Meeting MinutesCITY COUNCIL MEETING July 5, 1978 Meeting was called to order by Mayor, Forrest Lannoye. The following Councilmen were present: Darrell McNeill, Ed Rich, Evan Sperline, Ray Duncan, Hartley Beeler and Clerk, Peggy McArthur. Minutes of previous meeting were approved as submitted. Ray Duncan made motion, seconded by Ed Rich and passed unanimously. Bills and accounts were approved as submitted with the exception of a voucher to Bud Westby Motors. Motion was made by Ed Rich to pay said voucher with the following exceptions: $208.90 plus sales tax in the amount of $10.65 for 1 transmission case be withheld and $35.21 be withheld for an antenna which was stolen while car was being serviced at Bud Westby Motors. Seconded by Ray Duncan and passed ' unanimously. Councilman, Evan Sperline stated that the Annexation Committee is well underway with approximately fifteen canidates at this time. A public hearing was held on the Six Year Comprehensive Street Program for the ensuing six calendar years, 1979 through 1984. Evan Sperline made motion to approve the Six Year Program, Seconded by Darrell McNeill and passed unanimously. The Contract between Knobels Electric and Ctiy will be discussed further at the July 17th meeting due to the absence of Attorney, Neil Fuller. Additional Personnel for the Police Department was tabled until the July 17th meeting to give Councilmen an opportunity to study the 2nd Quarterly Report. Evan Sperline made a motion to adopt Resolution 78-8. Said resolution is in reference to the East Wenatchee Water District's proposed ' Regional Water System. Seconed by Darrell McNeill and passed unanimously.
