HomeMy WebLinkAbout4/2/1979 - City Council - City Council Meeting MinutesCOUNCIL MEETING April 2, 1979 ' Meeting was called to order by Mayor, Forrest Lannoye. Council members present were: Hartley Beeler, Ray Duncan, Charles Walker. City Attorney, Neil Fuller and Peggy McArthur, City Clerk. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as presented. Motion was made by Ray Duncan, seconded by Hartley Beeler and passed unanimously. The Council approved the bills and accounts with the exception of 24,810.83 payable to Knobel Electric. The Council asked that this voucher be reduced to 15,435.83. This would compensate for the 125 days over date of completion. Motion was made by Hartley Beeler, seconded by Charles Walker and passed unanimously. Hartley Beeler stated that all of the street lights are now in operation with the exception of one by the Motel and said he would check with P.U.D. on this one now that the ground has thawed. Authorization was given by the Council to purchase a truck, bed and snow plow from Lloyd's Auto & Truck, Inc. for the low bid of 30,601.97. Ray Duncan made the motion and staed that the truck be delivered to East Wenatchee Shop and be complete with plow and ready to operate. Also chat an estimated delivery date, as close as possible be submitted. Seconded by Hartley Beeler and passed unanimously. Bids were opened for a tractor and mower. Only one bid was received from Valley Tractor and no award was made at this time. The Council will take this under advisement until the next meeting. Attorney Neil Fuller stated he is still working with Westby Motors concerning the Pontiac transmission. The street dept. was given permission to purchase U.P.M. patching mix from Morrell Asphalt.
