' Mar. 19, 1979
Meetinc was called to order by Mayor, Forrest Lannoye. Coucnil members
present were, Hartley Beeler, Ray Duncan, Ed Rich and Charles Walker.
City Clerk, Peggy McArthur.
An error in the minutes of March 5, 1979 stating that Hartley Beeler
thought K.P.Q. should give the City equal air time in regard to Jeff
Smith's editorial, the minutes should have stated, Jeff Adam's editorial.
With this correction, the minutes were adopted as presented. Motion
was made by Ray Duncan, Seconded by Ed Rich and passed unanimously.
Motion was
made by
Ed Rich to pay all bills
with the exception of
a voucher
to Pay'n
Save Corporation in the
amount of $120.37, until
the Clerk
checks with
Attorney Neil Fuller
to see if it is legal to
pay such invoices
as they were 1978 invoices.
Seconded by Hartley
Beeler and
passed
unanimously.
Councilman, Hartley Beeler stated there were still some lights out on
Baker Street due to the lack of parts to repair them. There were no
other Committee Reports.
Bids wre opened for a 1979 Truck with Bed and Snow Plow. Four bids
were received. North Central Chevrolet (31,720.27), Lloyds Auto
(30,601.97) Sea Tac Ford (31,026.59) and Big Bend Motors (31,606.25).
The Bid will be awarded at the April 2nd meeting so the Council will
have time to review the specifications.
The Council will have specifications ready to Call for Bids for a
Police Car at the April 2nd meeting.
After some discussion regarding the speed limit on Baker Street, the
Council decided to take no action at this time.
Court Clerk, Dorotha McGee requested a salary increase, part time
help or both. She stated with the increase of Police Officers, her
