Meeting was called to order by Mayor, Forrest Lannoye. Council members
present, Hartley Beeler, Ray Duncan, Ed Rich and Charles Walker.
City Attorney, Neil Fuller and City Clerk, Peggy McArthur.
Minutes of the previous meeting were adopted as presented. Motion was
made by Ray Duncan, Seconded by Ed Rich and passed unanimously.
Bills and accounts were approved as presented. Motion made by
Ray Duncan, Seconded by Charles Walker and passed unanimously.
There was some discussion about 3rd Street. Roy Freeman said he
had been doing some patching.
Authorization was given by the Council to call for bids for a new
or used tractor, loader and mower to be opened April 2, 1979. Motion
made by Ray Duncan, seconded by Ed Rich and passed unanimously.
Hartley Beeler said that Clyde Peterson, Douglas County P.U.D. had
confirmed that the City would not be billed for the lights which have
not been in service on Baker.
Authorization was given the Mayor to sign a request for reimbursable
work between the City and the Douglas County Road Department. Motion
was made by Ed Rich, seconded by Hartley Beeler and passed unanimously.
Mayor Lannoye stated he had received several complaints about the
speed limit on Baker street. Neil Fuller said he would look into the
Statue concerning speed limits and present it at the next Council
meeting.
Neil Fuller said he would check with Douglas County Prosecutor concerning
' a bill from Dr. Bonifaci for an autopsy.
Roy Freeman was given persmission by the Council to purchase a 3/8"
drill.
