Attorney Neil Fuller and Peggy McArthur, City Clerk.
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as submitted. Motion was made by Ray
Duncan, seconded by Ed Rich and passed unanimously.
Bills and accounts were approved as presented. Motion was made by Darrell McNeill
seconded by Hartley Beeler and passed unanimously.
Mayor Lannoye said the Chelan -Douglas Utilities Council would like someone from the
City to attend their meeting Thursday. They have waived the cost to join since the
City does not have any utilities. Mayor asked Roy Freeman or Danny Reeves to
attend if at all possible.
Hartley Beeler said all street lights are now operating except for one at 6th & Baker.
They are still waiting for parts.
Mayor Lannoye asked City Clerk to advise Bob Patrick that he would be attending the
Boundary Review Board meeting Jan. 16th.
Ordinance No. 291 (Amending Ordinance 234 - Civil Service Rules & Regulations) was
adopted by the Council. Motion was made by Ray Duncan, seconded by John Pflugrath
and passed unanimously.
Authorization was given by the Council to have a plan -storage file built. Total cost
to be 227.42. The proposed plan was submitted by R. L. Hamilton. Motion was made by
Ray Duncan, seconded by Ed Rich and passed unanimously.
Ben Wilson came before the Council complaining about the way the Planning Consultant
was handling a Request for Variance so that he can open his recreation building on
Valley Mall Parkway. After much discussion from Mr. Wilson, City Attorney Neil Fuller
and Planner, Bill Millett, the Mayor suggested Mr. Wilson meet with the planner the
following day with the necessary information for the variance, so a meeting can be
set with the Board of Adjustment February 6th.
The Council gave their permission for the purchase of mace for the police department.
Neil Fuller said he sent a proposal to the Department of Transportation so the agreement
for signal light maintenance can be finalized by March. He said he has not heard from
them as yet. Neil Fuller also said he has not heard from the City of Wenatchee concerning
