HomeMy WebLinkAbout2/4/1985 - City Council - City Council Meeting MinutesCOUNCIL MEETING Feb. 4, 1985 Council Members present: Ed Rich, Ray Duncan and Les Young. Attorney Neil Fuller and City Clerk, Peggy McArthur. Meeting was called to Order by Mayor, Don Crain. Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as presented. Motion was made by Ray Duncan, seconded by Ed Rich and passed unanimously. Bills and Accounts were approved as submitted. Motion was made by Ray Duncan, seconded by Ed Rich and passed unanimously. Bob Goodman said the Contractor that repaired the shop roof, came and looked at it and he will repair it when the weather warms up. Bob Goodman said Dick McGraw is working on the City sign and it should be ready soon. Mayor Crain said Sargeant Kirby will return to work February 18th if he has no further complications. A Certificate of Disability for return of work was received from Dr. Paul Lyons. ' A letter from Forsyth Decoration Display was discussed by the Council concerning a bill for services for submitting a bid, brochures and specifications for Christmas Decorations. They feel since the City did not accept their bid, the City should pay for their services. The Council agreed not to pay 527.67 that they requested as their services were part of the bid process. Mayor Crain proclaimed the week of February 10 through 16, 1985 as Parents Without Partners Week. Authorization was given by the Council to change the next regular meeting to February 20, as Washington's Birthday falls on the regular meeting date. Motion was made by Ray Duncan, seconded by Ed Rich and passed unanimously. Mayor Crain said Councilman Fred Ross will be back in town February 15th and will be at the next meeting.
