CALL TO ORDER Mayor Crawford called the East Wenatchee City Council meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. 2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Community Member and Wenatchee Valley Nursing Program Student Evelyn Mejia led the Pledge of Allegiance. 3. ROLL CALL Present: Councilmember Stimmel (Zoom), Councilmember Arnold, Councilmember Harrison, Councilmember Castellente, Councilmember Magdoff (Zoom), Councilmember Johnson and Councilmember Hepner (Zoom). Councilmember Castellente moved to excuse Councilmember Magdoff from the meeting. Councilmember Harrison seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. 4. COUNCILMEMBER DECLARATION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST No Councilmembers indicated conflicts with any of the items on the agenda. 5. CONSENT AGENDA a. Approval of the 2026 Krake Law PLLC Contract for Provision of Legal Services (Conflict). b. Approval Voucher Report, Checks: 62663-62668, in the amount of $15,634.51. c. Approval Voucher Report, Checks: 64892-64942, in the amount of $254,540.62. d. Approval of 01-15-2026 Special Meeting Minutes. e. Approval of 01-20-2026 City Council Meeting Minutes. f. Approval of 01-22-2026 City Council Workshop Minutes. Motion by Councilmember Johnson to approve agreements, vouchers, and minutes as presented. Councilmember Stimmel seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously. 6. CITIZEN COMMENTS None. Councilmember Magdoff joined the meeting at 6:07 p.m. 7. PRESENTATIONS a. RiverCom 911’s Executive Director Doug Jones presented a PowerPoint on RiverCom 911 Sales Tax Proposal slated to be on the Special Election on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. Comments provided by Councilmember Castellente, Councilmember Johnson, Councilmember Magdoff, Councilmember Harrison, and Councilmember Stimmel. City of East Wenatchee Council Meeting Minutes 02-03-2026 8. MAYOR’S REPORT a. Mayor Crawford reported attending the AWC City Action Days in Olympia and participated in legislative discussions, noting AWC’s ongoing advocacy and legal support for cities. b. Mayor Crawford reminded Council that AWC hosts weekly City Action Calls on Friday at 12:30 p.m. to provide updates on legislation impacting cities. Council members were encouraged to sign up for these updates. c. Mayor Crawford announced City Hall would be closed on February 16 in observance of President’s Day. 9. COUNCIL REPORTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS a. Councilmember Castellente announced the celebration of Wenatchee’s 2026 Community Impact Awards, scheduled for February 26, and noting Sheriff Morrison would be recognized with the Local Hero Award and Mayor Crawford would be recognized with the Public Life and Award. b. Councilmember Magdoff reported she had just completed her first day of AARP Tax Assistance (for the year) at the Eastmont Community Center. 10.
