RCW 35A.11.020 and RCW 35A.12.190 authorize the City Council to organize and regulate its internal affairs and to define the powers, functions and duties of its officers and employees. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EAST WENATCHEE DO RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: 1.Declaration. The City Council declares the assets listed in Exhibit A as surplus to the City’s needs. 2.Public Hearing. Because the City Council estimates that none of the assets to be sold exceed $50,000 in value and because it will not transfer any property to another governmental agency at below market value, it will not hold a public hearing. 3.Sale of Property. The City Council instructs the Mayor or her designee to sell the assets listed on Exhibit A using such other means of marketing and as the Mayor or her designee reasonably determines to maximize the net return to the City on the sale. The City Council declares that it is a conflict- of-interest for a member of the City Council, the Mayor, or a city employee to purchase surplus property of the City. 5.Severability. If a court of competent jurisdiction declares any provision in this resolution to be contrary to law, such declaration shall not affect the validity of the other provisions of this Resolution. 6.Effective Date. This Resolution becomes effective immediately. Passed by the City Council of East Wenatchee, at a regular meeting thereof on this 19th day of August, 2025.
