City of East Wenatchee Council Meeting Minutes 07-15-2025
1. CALL TO ORDER
Mayor Crawford called the East Wenatchee City Council meeting to order at 6:00 p.m.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Councilmember Castellente led the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. ROLL CALL
Present: Councilmember Arnold, Councilmember Magdoff, Councilmember Castellente,
Councilmember Stockton, Councilmember Johnson.
Motion by Councilmember Johnson to excuse Councilmember Hepner from the meeting.
Councilmember Magdoff seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
4. COUNCILMEMBER DECLARATION OF CONFLICT OF INTEREST
No Councilmembers indicated conflicts with any of the items on the agenda.
5. CONSENT AGENDA
a. Approval Voucher Report, Checks: 61931-61996, in the amount of $1,694,173.33.
b. Approval of 06-25-2025 Council Workshop Minutes.
c. Approval of 07-01-2025 City Council Meeting Minutes.
Motion by Councilmember Magdoff to approve the agenda, public defender contracts,
vouchers, and minutes as presented. Councilmember Johnson seconded the motion.
Motion passed unanimously.
6. CITIZEN COMMENTS
Jason Ace Bollinger, East Wenatchee resident.
7. PRESENTATIONS
a. City of Wenatchee Project Engineer Nicole Brockwell provided an update on the
apple Capital Loop South End Bike/Ped Access Bridges
Comments provided by Councilmember Johnson and Councilmember Stockton.
8. MAYOR’S REPORT
a. Mayor Crawford reported the 7th District legislators would be hosting a Town Hall Meeting
on Wednesday, July 16th at 5:30pm in the Council Chambers; attendees were encouraged to
thank them for securing $150,000.00 in capital budget funds for the City Hall HVAC system.
b. Mayor Crawford and Chief of Police Rick Johnson invited the Council to the National Night
Out event taking place on Friday, August 1st, 2025 from 6:00-9:00pm at Eastmont
Community Park.

9. COUNCIL REPORTS & ANNOUNCEMENTS
a. Councilmember Castellente reported receiving positive feedback from residents
appreciating the extended public input period before the public safety sales tax is
considered, with an open house planned for July 29 before Council action is expected in
August.
b. Councilmember Johnson, as city representative for Douglas County Solid Waste,
provided an update on the organization.
10. ADJOURNMENT
With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 06:39 p.m.
