National Public Safety
Telecommunicators Week
WHEREAS, emergency communications professionals serve as the vital link between the public and
emergency responders, ensuring prompt and effective dispatch of police, fire, and
medical services; and
WHEREAS, public safety telecommunicators exhibit dedication, professionalism, and expertise in
handling emergency situations, often remaining calm under pressure to provide critical
assistance to those in need; and
WHEREAS, these skilled individuals are the first, first responders, providing lifesaving instructions,
gathering essential information, and coordinating emergency responses that protect
the residents and visitors of East Wenatchee; and
WHEREAS, the City of East Wenatchee recognizes the invaluable contributions of public safety
telecommunicators in enhancing community safety and public trust through their
unwavering commitment to duty; and
WHEREAS,
National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, observed annually during the second
full week of April, honors these dedicated professionals and highlights their
indispensable role in emergency response and public safety;

THEREFORE,
I, Jerrilea Crawford, Mayor of the City of East Wenatchee, do hereby proclaim April 13-
19th, 2025 as
National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week
and encourage all residents to express their gratitude to the dedicated emergency
communications professionals who work tirelessly to keep our community safe.
