City Attorneys Bob Kiesz and Chuck Zimmerman. City Clerk, Peggy McArthur. Meeting was called to Order by Mayor Pro-tem Dick McGraw. Mayor Pro-tem Dick McGraw advised the public that the Council would be going into executive session to discuss a potential litigation that would last between 15 to 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, the public was advised that the executive meeting would last another 20 minutes. The special meeting was called back into session and the following press release was given to the media: The City of East Wenatchee has requested its attorneys to work with the Douglas County Prosecutor in an effort to resolve the conflict over proposed "advisory ballot" issues that the County Commission requested be placed on the general election to be held November 3, 1987. ' The City Attorneys were instructed to respond not later than the close of business on Friday, October 2, 1987, to determine if a settlement agreement can be reached. If no settlement is reached the attorneys are instructed to file an action to enjoin the Douglas County Auditor from placing the advisory issues on the November election ballot. Details of the negotiation were not revealed and the members of the City Council have refused futher comment to allow the attorneys an opportunity to find a resolution short of litigation. There being no further business, Tery McKee made a motion that the meeting be adjourned, seconded by Les Young and passed unanimously. Drick McGraw, Mayor Pro-Tem City Cle
