(This meeting was recorded and will be retained at City Hall for a period of six years from the date of the meeting.) ROLL CALL PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Councilmembers Present: Councilmember Hendricks, Councilmember Nash, Councilmember McArthur, Councilmember Lacy, Councilmember Mikow, Mayor Collings. Staff Present: Virginia Oestreich, Bob Goodman, Bruce Nash, Ray Yarnell, John Flinner. PRESENTATION Lee Pardini, of Merritt+Pardini, the City's architectural firm, made a report to Council on the workshops held November 17 and 18. Mr. Pardini explained the site concept, floor arrangement and the cost allocation to accomplish the plan. The cost for the a twelve thousand square foot building and the quality the city desires for the community will be $1,993,200. City Clerk/Treasurer Oestreich gave a report as to the financial status for the construction. The bond closing was November 24 and she had invested the monies at a fair rate of interest considering the low rates available. She said additional funds to make up the $499,200 could be realized with the sale of the properties, interest earned, and grant monies that could be available. Ms. Oestreich said although the additional monies needed could be obtained through another Councilmanic bond issue, she recommended waiting for a year to determine exactly where the finances were as to the city hall building process. Council, again, discussed including the Sewer District in the city hall. Councilmember Lacy said he had a conversation with one of the commissioners who indicated there may be an interest in being in city hall. Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Mikow, second by Councilmember Nash to accept the conceptual proposal of Merritt+Pardini for a 12,269 square foot city hall at the estimated cost of $1,993,200. The square footage would be subject to change if the Water or Sewer District decided to be a Ipart of the city hall building. The motion carried 5-0. -1- -z- Ci iajnseaaj/K=aTD A1?J yoFazlsap •g et[btA m'd Sb'L - iKaHxxnorav •O-S paxajeo uotlom aqy •ITounoo g1TM uoilenlis aq1 ssnostp 01 Altungaoddo agl aneg of Z661 'L zagmaoaa butlaam ITounoo .Slap 9g1 01 p81TAUT aq o1 aie s.xauoissTmmop ZoFzlsia sa1eM pue 1ot.TlsTa JaMaS aqS •Z66T 'II .iagawaoaa Aq asuodsas a builsanbaz 'Z66T '6 zagma3aa Aq s8tl?T?1n aql of paluasasd aq of sT aseaT ' l;e3p aqy •butx3ed apnTout osTe pTnoM aoeds paitnbei agy •TTeg A1?o Mau 8g1 UT 18a3 a.Tenbs pazpunq ant;-AZuaMI ATalemtxozdde ;o aoeds io; 1oTa-4sta ja1eM pue 1o?=4sia 3aMas ag1 3o; aseaT meal buoT a 1;e.Tp of ioAeW aq1 azTaoglne 01 SXDTJPuaH jagmamTTounoa Aq puooas 'AoeZ iagmamTTounop Aq apem seM uoTlom y :uotloii TTounop
