REGULAR SESSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL CONVENED
MAYOR DAWN COLLINGS PRESIDING

McArthur, Councilmember Hendricks, Councilmember Lacy, Mayor
Collings. Councilmember Mikow excused.

Bob Goodman, Stuart Campbell,
Barnard, Mike Martz, Chuck
Pat Scofield, from Douglas County Empire Press, told Council of
his plans to publish a tourist guide for Douglas County and East
Wenatchee. Mr. Scofield said the guide would contain maps of the
area, recreation, shopping, schools, and a directory of
businesses in the area. The publication would promote East
Wenatchee and give the community it's own identity. Mr. Scofield
asked the Council to consider contributing to the tourist guide.
Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember McArthur,
second by Councilmember Nash, to contribute up to twelve hundred
dollars allocated from Stadium funds in support of the tourist
guide. The motion carried unanimously, 4-0.

AGREEMENT
' 94-06-02 An interlocal agreement with community entities
regarding the preparation of the Wenatchee Area
Transportation Study (WATS).
Mayor Collings said entities at the North Central Regional
Transportation Planning Organization meeting are in favor of
participating in the study.
Council Actions A motion was made by Councilmember Nash, second
by Councilmember Lacy to accept the interlocal agreement for the
preparation of the WATS Study and authorize the Mayor to sign.
The motion carried unanimously, 4-0.
RESOLUTION
94-06-03 A resolution adopting the interlocal agreement for
the preparation of the WATS Study.
Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Nash, second
by Councilmember Lacy to approve the resolution to adopt the
interlocal agreement for the preparation of the WATS Study. The
motion carried unanimously, 4-0.
RESOLUTION NO. 94-7
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF EAST WENATCHEE, WASHINGTON,
ADOPTING AN INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT FOR THE PREPARATION OF
THE WENATCHEE AREA TRANSPORTATION STUDY.
MAYOR'S REPORT
Mayor Collings reported on the groundhog situation and an article
in a westside newspaper. Mayor Collings said she has had office
visits and phone calls from concerned citizens. She feels the
city should research different options to get the groundhog issue
under control.
Mayor Collings said she attended the Vision 2020 meeting. Topics
of the meeting were structure, a name, schedules, memo of
agreement, boundaries, and school districts. Cochair persons need
to be assigned as well.
Councilmember Nash said she attended the same group meeting and
feels it is imperative East Wenatchee be involved.
Mayor Collings said she would be doing a Mayor's Short Course on
"How to be a better Chief Executive Officer", at the Association
of Washington Cities Conference in Spokane.
