REGULAR SESSION OF THE CITY COUNCIL CONVENED

ROLL CALL
Councilmembers Present: Councilmember Smet, Councilmember Nash, Councilmember Hendricks,
Councilmember Buckner, Councilmember Carson, Councilmember Stanton, Mayor Lacy.
Councilmember Aiken arrived at 6:40 p.m.
Staff Present: Harry Staven, Dana Bamard, Bob Goodman, Randy Harrison, Lori Barnett, Chuck
Zimmerman, Darin Bender, Bruce Nash, Christy Patterson.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
MAYOR'S REPORT
Mayor Lacy said the personnel manual had been drafted and will be circulated to the City employees.
Mayor Lacy said the Wenatchee Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau will be meeting with the owners
of Mission Ridge to discuss funding options to keep the resort open.
Mayor Lacy said he would be meeting with Center Oak Properties representative Jean Paul Wardy on
Tuesday, September 21, 1999. He added, at this time there have been no proposals to the City regarding
the mall expansion.
Mayor Lacy asked Councilmembers Nash, Carson and Aiken to be on the Budget Committee for the 2000
budget.
Mayor Lacy suggested changing Council meetings from the first and third Mondays of each month to the
second and fourth Mondays of each month. He added this would be beneficial to the City Treasurer in
meeting financial deadlines in order to deliver the information to Council.
CONSENT CALENDAR
Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Stanton, second by Councilmember Smet to
approve the consent calendar as presented. The motion carried, 7-0.
1. Consideration of minutes -- Regular Session, September 7, 1999
2. Consideration of Bills —
Vouchers audited and certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense
reimbursement claims certified as required by RCW 42.24.090, have been recorded on a listing that has
been made available to Council.
As of this date, September 20, 1999, Council does approve warrant numbers 9298 through 9377 in the
total amount of $105,977.62. Warrants 9336 and 9354 were voided.

SEPTEMBER 20, 1999
Councilmember Buchner said there would be a Council of Governments meeting on October 7, from 9:00
a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at City Hall. He added there will be a Transportation Summit on November 10, from
6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Wenatchee Convention Center.
Councilmember Smet said he had submitted his name to the Association of Washington Cities to be
considered for the Washington State Forensic Investigations Counsel.
