PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS Steven Henney, 205 N Devon, East Wenatchee, said the only bike lane route in East Wenatchee is on Ninth Street. He said he would like to see additional routes in East Wenatchee and promote them for use. Mayor Lacy said that bike paths are being considered along with whatever street improvements are occurring. He said it's a great idea that in our planning process when we improve the streets we make sure that bike routes are considered. MAYOR'S REPORT Mayor Lacy said the first budget meeting will be October 16ih at 6:30 p.m. Mayor Lacy said he had met with Chief Wayne Barnhart of the Douglas County Fire District #2. He said while Mr. Barnhart was looking at ways to do cost savings for the Fire District, he came across a statute, RCW 52.30.020, which mandates fire districts which have municipalities owning buildings within their fire district area, contract with the municipalities for fire services. He said East Wenatchee has not done this in the past and it would require an interlocal agreement between the entities, where the City would in some fashion compensate the Fire District for fire protection services. He added Chief Barnhart is not interested in charging municipalities for fire protection services. Rather, he is interested in cutting costs for the Fire District. In the case of East Wenatchee, Chief Barnhart is proposing the City agree to provide, in return for fire protection services, some reciprocal services to the Fire District, such as sweeping and snow removal. 9 -Z- r )11013 f11J piEluEg EnEQ 'NI'd 09:9 — INHWMflofav ,uo?ssnosip io3 olouq a Suuq of Apeai aq uoos pinom llunoO aql pug f4unoO sulBno(I Xq paroa?nal Suiaq si luawaajft aql p?es , nj ioxeW wawaaisu gulp aallluuuoo uoquxauuu-aid oql lnoqu paolse gsuN iagwawl?ounoJ S.LHoa3u 'IIJNIIOJ •pap?oA SUM 111761 iagwnu lurw% '99'8£9`Z6$3o lunowg Ielol aql u? £Z1761 gSnoigl 6L£01 siagwnu IUMUUM anoidde saop IiounoD 'OOOZ 'SZ iagwaldiS alep sig13o sV 1?ounoD of algEl?eng spew uaaq SEq lggl Su?ls?l u uo papiooai uaaq angq '060'bZ'Zb MDd Aq painnbii se pag?liao swiulo luawasingw?ai asuadxa asogl pug 'OSO'bZ'Zb MD-d Aq paunbai su i3o43o Su?l?pnu aql Aq pag?liao pug paupne siaganoA — s1pg3o uo?luiap?suo0 Z OOOZ'l I iagwaldas `uo?ssiS iciamd -- salnu?w3o uoiluap?suo0 I '0-9 'Pau1Ea uo?low aLLL •paluasaid sg luaSUOa aql anoidde of iawlong iigwawl?ounoD Aq puooas `goupuaH iagwawl?aunoJ Aq apew sum uopow V :uollaV l?aunoj 2IVQN3'IVJ.LN3SNOJ •w?q woi3 Su?woo lusodoid g lou sum s?ql lugs pounoO pauuo3u? pug oSe siva,i leianas slgl uo uocusod g pgq aq p?es Aou1 ioXLW •lagpnq aql of pieSii ql?m iamsuan agl woi; olgel?uAE uopuuuo3u? lEuo?l?ppg sl aiagl pappe aH •uo?gsg3 IEuuo3 a ul llounoo aio3aq lou sum `Xiwoug asnoq-w up of loadsai u? 3ims aagoruaM lsug Aq paluasaid iival agl p?es XoE1 ioAuW 'anssi aql uo uo?u?do ue io3 oog30 s juiivao AawollV aql louluoo `isanbai sup ul panlonu? ioiipnu aql angq of paloA pug 'palsaMs aneg siagwaW piuog HAOAM aql aio3aiag,L •smuls luluaunuanoS g seq AouaSu mp iaglagM;noge uo?lsanb awos si aiagl plus An -I ioAuY1 aoiawwoD 3o iagwugD u will aiow lnq `(auaSE luawwanoS a log s? 1? legl `piEoq E se 'OAJAM mpjo 3a?laq agl s? lI 'VdD E gl?M Ajamud l?pne nags op of pieoq u se paloA pEq gAOAM IT aw11 awEs aql IV 'gAJAM aql le 1?pnE up lanpuoa of Su?lpm aq pinom ,Cag13c siol?pnV miS aql pgse uosugor ioAuW os =1oluuaM 30 Al?J agl lE upne uu Supanpuoo 3o ss000id oql ul aiam sioupnV ale1S aLU -sa?l?A?lou palulai wsunol io3 ailEw of pap?oap SAJAM agl lugl ainitpuadxa up lnoqu pawaouoo SEm uosugof s?uua(I ioxEW aogoluuz% pigs OH •sl?pnu 3o sasodmd io3 ao?leiodioo algnud io aggnd ?senb u s?
