Councilmembers Present: Councilmember Bremmer, Councilmember Aiken, Councilmember
Hendricks, Councilmember Nash, Councilmember Buckner, Councilmember DeWitt, Councilmember
Smet, Mayor Lacy.

PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
PROCLAMATION
Mayor Lacy read a proclamation designating February 17 through February 24, 2001 as "FFA Week" in
the City of East Wenatchee.
Mayor Lacy read a proclamation designating May 3, 2001 as "Day of Prayer" in the City of East
Wenatchee.
CITIZEN COMMENTS
Rachel Bromiley, FFA National Chapter president, said the FFA members contribute to their
communities through projects and programs related to agriculture. Ms. Bromiley and the five members of
the FFA Chapter introduced themselves and described the projects and programs they were involved in.
PRESENTATION
Wenatchee Valley Convention and Visitors Bureau Executive Director Joyce Vognild gave a fourth
quarter report for2000.
CONSENT CALENDAR
Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Buckner, second by Councilmember Bremmer
to approve the consent calendar as presented. The motion carried, 7-0.
1. Consideration of minutes — Regular Session, January 22, 2001
2. Consideration of Bills —
Vouchers audited and certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense
reimbursement claims certified as required by RCW 42.24.090, have been recorded on a listing that has
been made available to Council.

' Councilmember Nash who represented the City said she was not satisfied with the answers she received at
the annexation meeting. She said many issues were not addressed or resolved.
City Attorney Zimmerman spoke briefly on his concerns with the agreement following Council
discussion. He said he would send a letter to the City addressing his concerns.
COUNCIL REPORTS
Councilmember Smet said the City of East Wenatchee will host the next Council of Governments
meeting on April 12, 2001. He added a meeting place needed to be reserved and scheduled.
Mayor Lacy said he has been unable to attend Solid Waste Advisory Committee meetings and has
requested they change the bylaws allowing an alternate East Wenatchee representative to attend the
meetings.
