In the absence of Mayor Steven Lacy, Mayor Pro -tern Hendricks called the meeting to order at 6:35 p.m.
ROLL CALL
Councilmembers Present: Councilmember Hendricks, Councilmember Buckner, Councilmember
Bremmer, Councilmember DeWitt, Councilmember Nash, Councilmember Smet. Councilmember Aiken,
excused.
Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Bremmer, second by Councilmember Buckner
to excuse Councilmember Aiken. The motion carried, 6-0.
Staff Present: Dana Barnard, Linda Countryman, Randy Harrison, Bob Goodman, Lori Barnett, Teresa
Allen, Joan Sims, Bruce Nash, Gil Sparks.
PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
PRESENTATION
' Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Project Engineer Terry Mattson gave a project
overview presentation of the Eastside Corridor. He said the purpose of the Eastside Corridor effort is to
conduct studies and preliminary design on alternatives that will be developed to achieve the goals of
enhancing safety and increasing mobility in the East Wenatchee urban area. He added there will be public
involvement opportunities which include: a Scoping Meeting — Alternatives on June 28, 2001; an Open
House in August 2001; a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) public hearing in June 2002;
Speaker Bureau Presentations in June 2001, July 2001, and March 2002; Newsletters and monthly
updates to the website (www.eastsidecorridor.org).
CONSENT CALENDAR
Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Bremmer, second by Councilmember DeWitt to
approve the consent calendar as presented. The motion carried, 5-0. (Hendricks abstained)
Consideration of minutes -- Regular Session, June 11, 2001
2. Consideration of Bills —
Vouchers audited and certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense
reimbursement claims certified as required by RCW 42.24.090, have been recorded on a listing that has
been made available to Council.
As of this date, June 26, 2001, Council does approve warrant numbers 11187 through 11228 in the total
' amount of $68,053.35. Warrant number 11205 was voided.
Council does approve payroll warrant numbers 18415 through 18499 and 210029, in the total amount of
$144,550.22, paid June 5, 2001, for the month of May 2001. Payroll warrant numbers 18412, 18414, and
18445 were voided.
