ROLL CALL Councilmembers Present: Councilmember Hendricks, Councilmember Bremmer, Councilmember DeWitt, Councilmember Nash, Councilmember Smet, and Mayor Pro-tempore Buckner. Mayor Lacy absent. Councilmember Aiken called Tuesday morning to say he would be flying in late today to attend the Council meeting. He sent a message to the City Clerk at 7:00 p.m. stating that he was unable to attend the meeting due to a flight delay. No Council action was taken. Staff Present: Dana Bamard, Randy Harrison, Bob Goodman, Lori Barnett and Chuck Zimmerman. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CONSENT CALENDAR ' Council Action: A motion was made to approve the consent calendar as presented by Councilmember Bremmer, second by Councilmember DeWitt. The motion carried, 6-0. 1. Consideration of minutes -- Regular Session, June 25, 2002 2. Consideration of Bills — Vouchers audited and certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW` 42.24.080, and those expense reimbursement claims certified as required by RCW 42.24.090, have been recorded on a listing that has been made available to Council. As of this date, July 9, 2002, Council does approve warrant numbers 12383 through 12419, in the total amount of $52,999.21. Warrant number 12373 was voided. MAYOR'S REPORT Mayor Pro-tempore Buckner said item 02-06-07 has been removed from the agenda. He said the amendment to the Interlocal Agreement had not been completed. PRESENTATION National Alliance for the Mentally Ill — Loss of Mental Health Funding National Alliance for the Mentally III Vice President Charlene Woodard gave a presentation regarding the loss of Chelan/Douglas Mental Health funding in the amount of $845,000.00. The presentation included suggested remedies and prevention ideas which include advocating a new structure for the governing board. The motion carried, 6-0. ORDINANCE 02-07-05 An ordinance prohibiting all new Social Card Game Gambling Activities. Mayor Pro-tempore Buckner read first reading of the ordinance. COUNCIL REPORTS Councilmember Smet said there would be a Council of Governments meeting on Friday, July 12, 2002 at the Douglas County Courthouse. Community Development Director Barnett said there would be a joint meeting of Elected Officials and Planning Commission Members for the Community Vision Evaluation Project Wednesday, July 17, 2002 at 6:30 p.m. at East Wenatchee City Hall.
