He said there will be a big festival at the Eastmont Community Park representing and promoting different Latin American Countries and States with a variety of activities, food, music, arts, culture, sports, products, and services for all cultures to get acquainted with the Latino community, and improve the quality of life for families. This event will be held August 23, 2014. He invited Mayor Lacy and Councilmembers to talk on his radio show that will be broadcasting live during the event. Mayor Lacy stated that he has sought input from City Attorney Devin Poulson, and noted there is a possibility that we could help with funding to some degree, but it would be Council's decision. He said he would bring specific proposals to Council towards August. The motion carried, 7-0. 14-05-05 Approval and authorization for the Mayor to sign Supplemental Agreement No. 1 with PACE Engineering to include additional design items for the Valley Mall Parkway Parking Lot not covered under the original scope of work for the Low Impact Development Project. Presented by: Brandon Mauseth, Land & Water Resource Program Manager Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Barnhart, second by Councilmember McCourt, to authorize the Mayor to sign the Supplemental Agreement No. 1 with PACE Engineering for design services for the Valley Mall Parkway Municipal Parking lot Stormwater Low Impact Development Retrofit Project. The motion carried, 7-0. 14-05-06 Bid Award for the City Wide Safety Improvement Project. Presented by: Greg Pezoldt, Public Works Director ' Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Detering, second by Councilmember Buckner, to authorize the Mayor to sign a Contract with NE Electric, LLC for the construction of the City Wide Safety Project in the amount of $255,628.00. The motion carried, 7-0. 14-05-07 Second Amendment to the Agreement with the Columbia Valley Housing Association for the East Wenatchee CDBG Homeownership Assistance Program. Presented by: Lori Barnett, Community Development Director Council Action: A motion was made Councilmember Buckner, to approve the Mayor's signature. The motion carried, 7-0. by Councilmember Barnhart, second by Amendment; and to further authorize the 14-05-08 Consideration of a Resolution to adopt an Interlocal Agreement between the City of East Wenatchee and Douglas County Fire District No. 2 for International Fire Code Services — Amending the Agreement recorded under AFN 3081225 in total. Presented by: Lori Barnett, Community Development Director Ms. Barnett said this item if for review and discussion prior to placing it on the agenda for approval. I 14-05-09 Consideration of a Resolution adopting an Amended Development Application Permit Processing Cost Recovery Schedule and repealing Resolution 07-03.
