APPRECIATION AWARD(S)
Mayor Lacy presented a Certificate of Recognition to Gregory Renggli for completing fifteen years of
service to the City of East Wenatchee, and to William Prazer, not in attendance, for completing twenty
years of service to the City of East Wenatchee.
PUBLIC COMMENT
Dan White, Events Coordinator, noted different events the City holds throughout the year, with the first
one being the Fred Meyer Easter Egg Hunt on Sunday, April 13, 2014 from 2-4 p.m., located at the
Eastmont Community Park behind the Eastmont YMCA Aquatic Center. He noted that Kathy Addleman,
Eastmont High School Teacher, has approximately twenty high school students volunteering to help with
the event.
Sally Brawley, Eastmont Metropolitan Parks and Recreation Director, stated that the parking lot at
Kenroy Park is now complete, the next project will be the renovation of the soccer field that is tentatively
scheduled for completion by June 2014.

Finance Director Nick Gerde stated that the next Budget Committee meeting will be held on April 17,
2014.

CONSENT CALENDAR
Items listed below were distributed to Councilmembers in advance for study and were enacted in one
motion.
Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Johnson, second by Councilmember Detering,
to approve the Consent Calendar as presented. The motion carried, 7-0.
1. Consideration of Minutes — Regular Session, March 25, 2014
2. Consideration of Payables
i. 2014 Pa, ay bles — As of this date, April 8, 2014, Council does approve
check numbers 40793 through 40833 in the total amount of $79,826.58.
Check 40734 was voided.
ACTION ITEM(S)
14-03-08 A Professional Services Agreement between the City of East Wenatchee and Rob Merrill
for Maintenance and Landscaping of Japanese Garden.
Presented by: Steven C. Lacy, Mayor
Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Johnson, second by
Councilmember Raab, to approve the Agreement; and further authorize the Mayor to
execute the document. The motion carried, 7-0.
