DEPARTMENT REPORT
Finance Director Nick Gerde distributed and reviewed the Financial Report for the month of November
2013. He also noted changes to the 2014 Annual Financial Budget which include changes to the salary
schedule based on the Cost of Living (COLA) and an increase to the budget amount for a Federal Audit.
MAYORS REPORT
Mayor Lacy invited East Wenatchee employees and Councilmembers to attend the appreciation luncheon
tomorrow at 12:00 p.m., he thanked everyone involved for all their work putting the luncheon together.
• December 24, 2013 —City Council Meeting
Mayor Lacy said that if all City business is taken care of this evening he would recommend not holding
the December 24, 2013, Council meeting.
• Councilmember Representative Assignments
Mayor Lacy said that the list of Council assignments included in the packet is for Councilmembers to
think about what organizations they would like to represent in 2014. He also noted that if a
Councilmember wishes to serve on the Public Facilities District Board, he would be happy to step down
' and let someone else serve in that position. He added that the new assignments will be made after the first
of the year.
Mayor Lacy wanted visibility made about a letter he sent to Washington State Department of
Transportation (WSDOT) regarding the actual amount of money to be paid and interest to be paid for

' Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Detering, second by
Councilmember Johnson, to approve the Supplemental Agreement with Pace Engineers
for the I Ph Street Sidewalk Project. The motion carried, 7-0.
13-12-02 A Resolution of the City of East Wenatchee, Washington, establishing and supporting a
Policy and Procedure for providing exercise equipment for use by City employees within
City facilities.

Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Detering, second by
Councilmember Buckner, to adopt the Resolution establishing and supporting a Policy
and Procedure for providing exercise equipment for use by City employees within City
facilities. The motion carried, 7-0.

13-12-03 First reading of an Ordinance adopting the final budget of the Greater East Wenatchee
Storm Water Utility in the amount of $4,151,784 for the fiscal year commencing on
January 1, 2014.
Presented by: Brandon Mauseth, Associate Engineer
Mayor Lacy elevated the Ordinance to a second reading without objection.
Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Raab, second by
Councilmember McCourt, to adopt the final budget of the Greater East Wenatchee Storm
Water Utility in the amount of $4,151,784 for the fiscal year commencing on January 1,
2014. The motion carried, 7-0.

An Ordinance of the City of East Wenatchee adopting the final budget of the
Greater East Wenatchee Storm Water Utility in the amount of $4,151,784 for the
fiscal year commencing on January 1, 2014.
Associate Engineer Brandon Mauseth gave a review of the summary report for the 2014
Storm Water Utility Budget.
13-11-08 Second reading of an Ordinance fixing and confirming the salaries to be paid to certain
officials and employees in the year 2014.
