Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce, Executive Director Shiloh Schauer — Brand and
tourism promotion.
Executive Director Shiloh Schauer introduced Marketing and Communications Director Jerri Barkley and
Wenatchee Valley Sports Council Director of Marketing Matt Kearny. She said the purpose of their visit
this evening was to give an update on their branding and marketing efforts, an update on the Wenatchee
Valley Sports Council, and how the City can partner with the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Schauer asked Council to consider funding the Sports Council from September to December 2013.
Jerri Barkley gave an overview of their Destination Marketing efforts which incorporates four different
brands that include the Chamber of Commerce, Visitor's Center, Chamber Tasting Room, and the Sports
Council.
Matt Kearny gave an overview of the history of the Sports Council as well as the functions they carry out.
He also reviewed the East Wenatchee Sports Facility usage calendar for 2013.
' Mayor Lacy explained the proper process with respect to Hotel/Motel Tax Funds and suggested they
contact the East Wenatchee Events Board and Events Coordinator Dan White so they can discuss
specifically what their needs are.

' i. 2013 Payables — As of this date, July 9, 2013, Council does approve
check numbers 38705 through 38710, 38712 and 28748 through 38817
in the total amount of $887,256.93. Check number 38711 was voided.
ACTION ITEM
13-07-01 Authorization for the Mayor to execute a Concomitant Improvement Agreement with J.
Max Campos for frontage improvements on 19`s Street NW.
Presented by: Don McGahuey, City Engineer/Public Works Director
Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Detering, second by
Councilmember McCourt, to authorize the Mayor to execute the Concomitant Agreement
with Max J. Campos for frontage improvements on 19`" Street NW. The motion carried,
6-0.
13-06-04 Second reading of an ordinance of the city of East Wenatchee, Washington, amending the
East Wenatchee Municipal Code to update requirements for home occupations. The
changes include chapters 17.08 to amend and add new definitions, amending chapters
17.24, 17.28, and 17.32 pertaining to permitted uses, accessory uses, and conditional uses
' in residential zoning districts, deleting conditional uses in chapter 17.64, amending
chapter 17.66 for home occupations, amending section 17.72.080(A) relating to signs in
residential districts, amending chapter 17.84 regarding administration of the zoning code,
containing a severability clause, and establishing an effective date.

Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Collings, second by
Councilmember Deleting, to adopt the ordinance amending certain sections of Title 17
pertaining to Home Occupations. The motion carried, 6-0.
ORDINANCE NO.2013-04
An Ordinance of the City of East Wenatchee, Washington, amending the East
Wenatchee Municipal Code to update requirements for home occupations. The
changes include chapters 17.08 to amend and add new definitions, amending
chapters 17.24, 17.28, and 17.32 pertaining to permitted uses, accessory uses,
and conditional uses in residential zoning districts, deleting conditional uses in
chapter 17.64, amending chapter 17.66 for home occupations, amending section
