She said the purpose of this meeting is to increase the number of youth in our community who do not use alcohol. She added this meeting will be followed up with an additional Town Hall meeting on May 25`h that will have to do with illegal prescription drug use in our community. Presented by Community Development Director Lori Barnett. Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Buckner, second by Councilmember Johnson, to elevate the ordinance to second reading. The motion requires a unanimous vote. Therefore, the motion failed, 5-2. (Hendricks, Bremmer) Mayor Lacy elevated the ordinance to second reading. Council Action: A motion was made by Councilmember Buckner, second by Councilmember Johnson, to adopt an ordinance of the City of East Wenatchee, Washington adopting amendments to the Greater East Wenatchee Area Comprehensive Plan text of Chapters 2-6 and Chapters 8 as part of the 2009 Annual Comprehensive Plan Review and Update Process in accordance with the requirements of the Growth Management Act. ORDINANCE NO. 2010-07 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EAST WENATCHEE, WASHINGTON, ADOPTING AN AMENDED GREATER EAST WENATCHEE AREA COMPREHENSIVE PLAN INCLUDING AMENDMENTS TO THE TEXT IN CHAPTERS 2 - 6 AND CHAPTER 8 AS PART OF THE 2009 ANNUAL COMPREHENSIVE PLAN REVIEW AND UPDATE PROCESS FOR THE CITY AND DOUGLAS COUNTY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF THE GROWTH MANAGEMENT ACT; AMENDING ORDINANCE 06-05; AND SETTING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 10-04-04 First reading of an ordinance of the City of East Wenatchee, Washington adopting an amended Capital Facilities Plan for the city as part of the 2009 annual comprehensive plan review and update process for the city in accordance with the requirements of the Growth Management Act.
