The asphalt walkway that was initially installed was needed to keep pedestrian moving during the winter project shutdown. The City will pay for the temporary walkway with their own funds. This change order does not require FHWA to pay for any item more than once. The final product will be a concrete walkway along 9th St. NE. instead of an asphalt walkway. The cost for the change order was determined using unit costs from Selland’s bid and costs proposed by Selland. The original unit price cost for Cement Conc. Driveway Type 4 was high due to the originally low quantity. The revised proposed cost is for all work associated with this change order.RH2’s estimate of quantities is summarized in Appendix A. There shall be no change to Contract Time as a result of this Change Order. The proposed work will occur during the same time as other planned work. Bid items for Traffic Control (A-29, B-29) will not be affected as a result of this Change Order. This is because work is still planned to be completed during the same planned traffic control setups. Bid items for Mobilization (A-1, B-1) will not be affected as a result of this Change Order.Selland and their subs still have work to complete and can do this work and the same time. The Contractor confirmed via email (see attachment)that the work associated with this change order does not require any changes to work being completed by a DBE sub- contractor as part of the condition of award. The only DBE subcontractor planned for use on the project is TBMM, who is performing traffic control. 9th St NE & Valley Mall Parkway Intersection Improvements Change Order #2 Cost Estimate Temporary Asphalt Path (City Funded Group) Bid Item Description Unit Plan Qty at Bid Unit Cost at Bid Extended Amt at Bid Rev Qty per C.O. #2 Unit Cost per C.O. #2 Extended Amt per C.O. #2 Cost Difference per C.O. #2 Schedule D - City of East Wenatchee D-1 Commercial HMA for Temporary Path TN 0 210.00$ -$ 35 210.00$ 7,350.00$ 7,350.00$ D-2 Temporary Asphalt Path Removal SF 0 1.00$ -$ 2370 1.00$ 2,370.00$ 2,370.00$ Total Schedule D -$ 9,720.00$ 9,720.00$ Concrete Walkway (City/FHWA Funded) Bid Item Description Unit Plan Qty at Bid Unit Cost at Bid Extended Amt at Bid Rev Qty per C.O. #2 Unit Cost per C.O. #2 Extended Amt per C.O. #2 Cost Difference per C.O. #2 Schedule A - City of East Wenatchee A-12 Commercial HMA TN 35 210.00$ 7,350.00$ 10 210.00$ 2,100.00$ (5,250.00)$ A-19 Cement Conc.
