ROLL CALL Councilmembers Present: Councilmember Buckner, Councilmember DeWitt, Councilmember Raab, Councilmember Smet, Councilmember Aiken and Mayor Pro-tempore Bremmer. Councilmember Hendricks was excused. Council Action: A motion was made to excuse Councilmember Hendricks from this Council meeting by Councilmember Smet, second by Councilmember DeWitt. The motion carried, 6-0. Staff Present: Dana Barnard, Teresa Allen, Bob Goodman and Lori Barnett. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE CITIZEN COMMENTS Ryan Hatfield, 3600 10 h Place, said the Eastmont Youth Baseball 10 year old team had won I" place in the Wenatchee Youth Baseball tournament, 2"d place in the Eastmont Youth Baseball tournament, 151 place in the State Championship and 1s` place in the Regional Championship. This team will be representing the Wenatchee Valley and teams from five northwest states in the Cal Ripkin 10 year old World Series in Williamsburg, Virginia. He said the team is in need of funding to make the trip and is seeking donations to help defray the costs. CONSENT CALENDAR Council Action: A motion was made to approve the consent calendar as presented by Councilmember Aiken, second by Councilmember Buckner. The motion carried, 6-0. 1. Consideration of minutes -- Regular Session, July 8, 2003 2. Consideration of Bills — Vouchers audited and certified by the auditing officer as required by RCW 42.24.080, and those expense reimbursement claims certified as required by RCW 42.24.090, have been recorded on a listing that has been made available to Council. On July 8, 2003, Council did approve payroll warrant numbers 20327 through 20408 and 230005, in the total amount of $167,122.97, paid June 5, 2003 for the month of May 2003. As of this date, July 24, 2003, Council does approve warrant numbers 13534 through 13589, in the total amount of $247,993.61. Warrant number 13546 was voided. They asked each agency to submit copies of their agency's standards related to communications and radio procedures to the next meeting. He added the opening date of RiverCom is set for July 1, 2004. Councilmember Buckner said he had attended the Wenatchee Valley Transportation Committee meeting. He said they discussed how to communicate to officials in Olympia a more practical use of dollars on road projects in our area. ADJOURNMENT - 7:00 P.M. Dana Barnard City Clerk
