NOTICE OF OPEN RECORD PUBLIC HEARING
— WENATCHI LANDING
EAST WENATCHEE PLANNING COMMISSION
The East Wenatchee Planning Commission will conduct an open record public
hearing at their August 25, 2020 regularly scheduled public meeting. The meeting
starts at 5:30 PM and will be held in the Council Chambers at East Wenatchee City
Hall, 271 9th St. NE, East Wenatchee, WA. The public hearing will be part of the
meeting agenda and will begin after the meeting has convened. This is a joint project
with Douglas County. The purpose of the public hearing is to consider the following
proposed amendments initiated by Douglas County:
ZTA 2019-03 — Proposed amendments to the East Wenatchee Municipal Code
(EWMC) establishing a new North End Wenatchi Landing Overlay District.
Amendments to EWMC Chapters 17.34, 17.42, 17.46 and adding a new Chapter
17.54 North End Wenatchi Landing Overlay.
Also included in the agenda for this meeting will be a workshop to discuss the
following proposal:
ZTA 2020-02 Proposed amendments to the East Wenatchee Municipal Code
intended to increase residential building capacity in accordance with RCW
36.70A.600(1) to authorize at least one duplex, triplex, or courtyard apartment on
each parcel in one or more zoning districts that permit single-family residences and
authorize a duplex on each corner lot within all zoning districts that permit single-
family residences.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and in accordance with Governor's Proclamation
20-28.8 regarding the Open Public Meetings Act, Planning Commission meetings
and hearings are being held remotely, including remote submission of public
comments or testimony via a format available on the City's website. Visit the City's
website at www.east-wenatchee.com for information on how to remotely participate
in this hearing. The call -in information will be included on the agenda which will be
available on the City's website at least four days prior to the hearing.
The City encourages all persons to participate in the hearing/meeting and provide
written or oral comments for consideration by the Planning Commission. All written
comments must be submitted by 5:00 PM on the date of the hearing to Lori Barnett,
East Wenatchee Community Development Department, 271 9th Street NE, East
Wenatchee, WA 98802. Faxed or emailed comments will also be considered. Fax

City Hall offices are currently closed to the public. All documents and materials
pertaining to the proposal under consideration may be reviewed on the City's
website. To request copies of materials in an alternate format, please contact Marcia
Martz at (509) 884-5396. A copy of the staff report will be available for review 10
calendar days prior to the hearing.
