c. Police Vehicles i. Police Chief Harrison requested budget to purchase three new police vehicles. Mayor Lacy spoke in support of budgeting for two Police vehicles in 2019.

d. Randy Harrison, Police Chief i. Police Chief Harrison spoke to Council about adding two School Resources Officers (SRO) to the Eastmont School District. One Officer for the High School and one for the Jr. High School.
Mayor Lacy spoke about his communications with the Eastmont
School District regarding the SROs. The Mayor recommended we do
not add the School Resource Officers to the 2019 budget unless
negotiations take place with the School District before the budget is finalized.
ii. Chief also requested changes to travel, training, overtime, and equipment replacement budget.
e. Public Works - Administrative Vehicle & Snow Plow i. Project Manager Tom Wachholder requested budget to purchase a new vehicle to replace the Public Works administrative vehicle.
ii. Streets Manager Josh Toftness requested budget to purchase a new snowplow for fleets.
f. Public Works Remodel i. Streets Manager Josh Toftness along with Mayor Lacy requested a budget for facility updates to existing buildings on the City’s campus.
g. City Clerk i. City Clerk Maria Holman requested budget for professional services (scanning records) and support for Laserfiche set up of the Police and Legal Department in 2019. The Annual Maintenance fees for the Laserfiche software previously approved by council was mentioned.
The Mayor spoke in support of the requests.
h. Community Development i. Community Development Director Lori Barnett requested a budget for anticipated abatements (3-houses) in 2019 an approximate amount of $30,000.00. The Mayor spoke in support of the request.
i. Finance i. Finance Director Josh DeLay requested roughly $6,000 in additional budget authority to align the pay of the Accounting Clerk with her actual job duties. In addition, he requested $22,000 for the 2019 State audit that is required.
Adjournment. 2019 significant preliminary budget change discussion closed. With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
