The 2018 CDBG funding allocation for the City is $132,769. The purpose of this notice is to announce the availability of the Draft 2018 Annual Action Plan, to initiate a 30-day comment period, and to provide notice of two public hearings as are part of the adoption process. The public and interested parties are invited to review and comment on the Draft 2018 Annual Action Plan. All written comments should be sent to the City by July 30, 2017. Comments should be addressed to Lori Barnett, East Wenatchee Community Development Department, 271 9th Street NE, East Wenatchee, WA 98802. Comments may also be submitted by phone, fax or e-mailed. The Draft 2018 Annual Action Plan is available for review at the East Wenatchee Community Development Department during regular business hours or on the City's web page at Community Development Department - Community Development Block Grant Program page at www.east-wenatchee.com. To request copies in an alternate format, contact Marcia Martz at 509-884-5396. The East Wenatchee City Council will conduct public hearings at their July 10, 2018 and July 24, 2018 meetings. The meetings start at 6:30 PM and will be held in the Council Chambers at East Wenatchee City Hall, 271 9th St. NE, East Wenatchee, WA. The public hearings will be part of the meeting agenda and will begin after the meeting has convened. The Council will take final action adopting the 2018 Annual Action Plan at their August 14, 2018 meeting at the place and time noted above. It is the City's policy to assure that no person, with a disability or on the grounds of race, color, national origin or sex, is excluded from participation in any city activity. We invite any person with special needs, including handicap accessibility or interpreter services, to contact the Maria Holman, City Clerk, at 509.884-9515 at least 3 working days before the hearing to discuss any special accommodations which may be necessary.
