Barta, Notary Public, Chelan County, Washington My commission expires: May 10, 2021 00002646 00051138 Amber Schulz CITY OF EAST WENATCHEE 271 9TH ST EAST WENATCHEE, WA 98802 CALL FOR BIDS East Wenatchee Gateway Park Consider this as notice that sealed bids will be received by the City of East Wenatchee, until 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time on April 5th, 2018 for the East Wenatchee Gateway Park. Bid proposals will be received by the Clerk at the City of East Wenatchee, City Hall, and will then and there be opened, read, and tabulated publicly. Proposals received after the time fixed for opening will not be considered. The City of East Wenatchee Gateway Park project is located at 88 9th St Avenue and consists of developing an existing site into a gateway park consisting of a stage, seat walls, plaza and a parking facility. Constructing this project will include demolition and removal of asphalt and concrete, site excavation, gravels, modular block walls, stormwater conveyance, future sewer, water line, illumination system, concrete sidewalks, landscaping irrigation, HMA paving, temporary traffic control and other work, all in accordance with the attached Contract Plans, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. Time for completion of the work is limited to sixty (60) working days. Engineer's estimated range for this project is $370,000 - $385,000. Each bid proposal shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier's check, postal money order, or surety bond in an amount equal to at least 5 percent of the amount of the bid proposal. Checks shall be made payable to the City of East Wenatchee. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance and payment bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the City of East Wenatchee. The City of East Wenatchee reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities in the bid or in the bidding. The City of East Wenatchee in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4 and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondiscrimination in Federally -Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises as defined at 49 CFR Part 26 will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, national origin, or sex in consideration for an award. The Public Works Department will issue plans and specifications. Hardcopies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS Plans, specifications, and bid documents are available as hardcopies of the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS upon payment of $20.00 for each set, non-refundable.
