Councilmember Magdoff opened the meeting.
1. Mr. David Olson, CEO of Columbia Valley Community Health (CVCH) presented
information regarding the Blue Zones and Our Valley Our Future to the Council.
The Blue Zone Certification is a 3-year process and can be expensive. There is a
modified version of this program called Blue Zone Activate and is more
affordable. Mr. Olson explained that this program will help our community to be
healthier and help reduce how often citizens go to the doctor. This process will
also increase the livability of individuals in our community. He asked the City to
consider contributing $20,000 every year to this program. Other contributors
include the City of Wenatchee, CVCH, and an anonymous donor of $100,000.00.
They are hoping to have commitments from local organizations by the end of
March. They are committed to paying a full-time staff person to run this program
for our region. He also explained that the COVID19 outbreak has provided by
challenges and he is will be asking for an extension.

2. Community Development Director Lori Barnett spoke regarding the 208 S.
Houston. Ms. Barnett informed the Council that the determination made by the
City regarding 208 S Houston home has been appealed by Ms. Lamkin. The
