The parties wish to add the following language to the existing Collective Bargaining
Agreement between the parties:
13.7 Lead Worker Incentive Pay. From time to time, the Street Manager
wishes to designate an employee under his supervision as a lead worker. The
Street Manager may appoint an employee as lead worker at any time. Likewise,
the Street Manager may terminate an employee's assignment as a leader worker
at any time. Neither the Union, nor an employee may grieve the Street Manager's
decision not to designate a particular employee as a lead worker or the Street
Manager's decision to terminate an employee's assignment as a lead worker.
If an employee wishes to be assigned as lead worker, he or she must submit a
letter of interest to the Street Manager within 14 days of the effective date of this
Agreement. Thereafter, if an employee wishes to be assigned as a lead worker, he
or she must submit a letter of interest to the Street Manager between January 1
and January 31 of each year.
To assign an employee as lead worker, the Street Manager will provide the
employee with written notification of the start date of the assignment. Likewise,
to terminate an assignment as a lead worker, the Street Manger will provide the
employee with written notification of the end date of the assignment.
If the Street Manager assigns an employee as a lead worker, the City will pay that
employee a five percent increase of his/her hourly wage for such hours worked.
When serving as lead worker, an employee may not receive out -of -classification
incentive pay set forth in Section 13.1
If the Street Manger terminates an employee's assignment as a lead worker, the
employee pay shall immediately revert back to his/her normal hourly wage.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the parties indicate their agreement to abide by the terms
and conditions set forth above by their signatures set forth below.
