This agreement will be for approximately one (1) year in duration with the option for the City of East Wenatchee to extend it for additional time and money if necessary. Consultants will be considered for the following projects. The City of East Wenatchee reserves the right to amend terms of this "Request for Qualifications" (RFQ) to circulate various addenda, or to withdraw the RFQ at any time, regardless of how much time and effort consultants have spent on their responses. Project Description: Kenroy Elementary Safe Routes to School Project The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of preparing preliminary engineering design for pedestrian improvements along the 5th St NE corridor adjacent to Kenroy Elementary from June Ave to Kentucky Ave. In addition, improvements will be extended up Jonathan Ave approximately 580' and up Kansas Ave approximately 340'. This project has a nine (9) percent UDBE goal. The major features of the project are as follows: • Constructing sidewalks, buffer strips, raised intersection, narrow lane widths, illumination, flashing LED stop signs, crosswalk markings, and pedestrian signage. Project Description: Sterling Intermediate Safe Routes to School Project The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of preparing preliminary engineering design for pedestrian improvements along the 5th St NE corridor adjacent to Sterling Intermediate from N Grover PI to James Ave, then James Ave from 5th St NE to 8th St NE. This project has a nine (9) percent UDBE goal. The major features of the project are as follows: • Constructing sidewalks, buffer strips, mini roundabout, raised intersection, rectangular rapid flashing beacons, narrow lane widths, illumination, flashing LED stop signs, crosswalk markings, and pedestrian signage. The City of East Wenatchee reserves the right to retain the services of the successful firm(s) for any subsequent phases (R/W, CN) associated with these projects. Evaluation Criteria Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the following criteria: 1) Qualification of Proposed Project Manager 2) Qualifications/Expertise of Firm 3) Ability to meet schedule 4) Approach to project 5) Familiarity with WSDOT/FHWA standards 6) Past Performance/References 7) Approach to meet the UDBE goal (UDBE Participation Plan) Submittal Submittals, one for each project, should include the following information: Firm name, phone and fax numbers; Name of Principal -in -Charge and Project Manager; and Number of employees in each firm proposed to project. Please submit FOUR copies of your Statement of Qualifications for each project to: City of East Wenatchee, 271 9th Street NE East Wenatchee, WA 98802, Attention City Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. on December 12, 2019.
