The existing 5th Street NE corridor from Jonathan Avenue to Kentucky Avenue consists of 2 travel lanes,
variable width gravel and paved shoulder sections, limited storm drainage facilities, and limited illumination.
Description of Proposed Work
Description of Proposed Work (Attach additional sheet(s) if necessary)
Construct sidewalk, buffer strip, raised intersection, narrow lane widths, illumination, flashing LED stop
signs, crosswalk markings and pedestrian signage along 5th Street NE to Kentucky Ave. In addition,
improvements will be extended up Jonathan Ave proximately 580' and up Kansas Ave approximately 340'.
