The existing 5th Street NE corridor from N Grover Place to James Avenue consists of 2 travel lanes, variable
width gravel and paved shoulder sections, limited storm drainage facilities, and limited illumination.

Install sidewalks, bike lanes, buffer strips, mini roundabout, raised intersections, rectangular rapid flashing
beacons, narrow travel lane widths, crosswalk markings, illumination and pedestrian signage along 5th St NE
from N Grover Place to James Ave, then James Ave from 5th St NE to 8th St NE.
