HomeMy WebLinkAbout12/20/1965 - City Council - City Council Meeting MinutesDecember 20, 1965 The regular meeting of the East Wenatchee Town Council was called to order by Mayor Forrest Lannoye; present at the meeting were Council- men John McDougall, Lloyd Keagle, Art O'Neal, and Clerk Dorotha McGee. The minutes were read and stand approved as read. The bills were presented as follows: Current Expense Warrents: 1845 through 1851 Joe H. Carl Dorotha McGee Rosemarie Hanson Dorotha McGee Clerk, East Wenatchee Wm. M. Hamilton Mr. Alton Nix Post Office Street Warrents: 555-556 Douglas County Auditor Mott Liek 459.z6 82.68 31.80 124.56 5.00 300.00 20.00 55.59 375.67 John McDou�All made a motion for approval of street warrent number 555. Motion was seconded by Lloyd Keagle and passed by unanimous vote. John McDougall made a motion to pay the remainder of the bills. Motion was seconded by Art O'Neal and passed by a unanimous vote. John McDougall reported that he received a request by the State Highway Department for the installation of lights at the Grant Road intersection. Lights will be installed right away. Lloyd Keagle reportea on negotiations vv : Rock Island for fire protection. Mayor Lannoye read a request by John Wells for a free right hand turn West after stop from Main Street onto Grant Road. John McDougall made a motion to pass a resolution for said free right hand turn West after stop from Main Street onto Grant Road. Lloyd Keagle seconded the motion. Passed by a unanimous vote. Lloyd Keagle discussed the possibility of a four-way red light with bells for fire trucks. Mayor Lannoye suggested the possibility of a stop sign on North Main Street at the Eleventh Street intersection or a yield right of way sign. This matter will be referred to Mr. Nix, City Engineer, Mayor Lannoye inquired bbout the Bates Bond. The Clerk replied that the bond has not been posted. John McDougall made a motion that the meeting be adjourned; Art O'Neal seconded the motion. Passed by a unanimous vote.
