Present were Councilmen John Wells,
Si Neher, Lawrence Letts and Clerk
The minutes of the previous meeting were read and were approved
with the following corredtion: The Library Contract with the
North Central Regional Library will be re -considered if Initative
226 is passed.
John Wells reported that resurfacing work on 1st Street S.E.
was completed. He also stated that llth street has been
resurfaced and repair work was done on Rock Island noad, Baker
Street, namilton Street and No. Ashland. Hamilton and French
Streets were swept and brush cut along right-of-ways.
John McDougall reported that the lights have not yet been
installed at the Grant Road intersection.
Lawrence Letts presented the specifications for the beautification
of the East Bridge approach and Clover Leaf. Lawrence Letts
made a motion that the Council approve the resolution for the
beautification project as presented by the East Wenatchee
Improvement Council; motion was seconded by John Wells and
passed by a unanimous vote.
' Si Neher reported that a meeting of the local Water, Sewer, Port
Districts, Chelan and Douglas Planning Commissions and a
representative from the Town will meet leptember 28, 1966, in
conjunction with the Co-ordinating Planning Committee.
Mayor Lannoye requested that the City Attorney write an
Ordinance pertaining to Night Arowling and the penalties for
such.
Mayor Lannoye reported on the present status of City Codification.
After a general discussion the Council requested that the
codification be completed this year if possible.
A discussion was held on the proposed cost of Juvenile intake
forms. No formal action wa:3 taken.
The Council discussed the possibility of vacation pay for Joe
Carl. John Wells made a motion to table this until the next
meeting; motion was seconded by John McDougall and passed by
an unanimous vote.
Mayor Lannoye presented the specifications for a new Police car
to the Council for study.
